Ikebana

Description

Step into the calm and beautiful world of Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging, where nature, balance, and mindfulness come together in a deeply creative experience. Held at the peaceful Darts Hill Garden Park, this hands-on workshop invites you to slow down and connect with seasonal flowers, stems, and leaves while learning the refined principles of the Ohara School of Ikebana. The session begins with a short introduction to the history and philosophy of Japanese floral art, followed by guided demonstrations and visual examples of professional arrangements. Under the gentle guidance of instructor Jenny Li, you will then create your own unique floral composition using carefully prepared materials at your station. You will explore concepts of space, line, and harmony while gaining both artistic skill and inner calm. #gozeeit #thingstodo #thingstodoinsurrey #surreyevents #ikebana #mindfulness #workshop #floralart #artclass #nature
