Join the Flyathlon 2026 in Red Deer, a one-of-a-kind outdoor multi-sport experience that blends trail running, fishing, and craft beer into a single adventurous community event. Starting at Canada 150 Place and finishing at Troubled Monk, this 5km course invites participants to run with fishing gear, stop along the trail to cast lines, and enjoy the excitement of catching and releasing fish along the way. Designed to be inclusive rather than strictly competitive, the event encourages fun, outdoor connection, and environmental awareness while raising funds for freshwater ecosystem projects. Participants can enjoy guided support from volunteers, known as “fish whisperers,” along the route.
