Experience a Japanese tea ceremony presented by Matsukaze Chanoyu Tea Association at Ozawa Pavilion in the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens area. Guests may choose Furo style morning sessions with tatami seating, or Ryurei afternoon sessions with chairs or stools. Reflects mindfulness, hospitality, and Japanese seasonal culture. Guests are served freshly prepared matcha paired with a traditional mochi sweet filled with bean paste. Suitable for adults and children able to sit quietly for about 30 minutes. Afternoon sessions are wheelchair accessible for guests with mobility needs.
