Step aboard the Explore Farm to Fork by Train 2026 for a unique Open Farm Days experience through Alberta’s ranchlands and pastoral landscapes. Departing from Forestburg, this full-day excursion brings you face-to-face with local farmers as you travel by rail, stopping along the tracks to explore fields, farming practices, and farm equipment. Learn about regional crops, wildlife, birds, and native flora from an expert onboard guide while enjoying locally sourced snacks served in an open-air gondola car. The journey includes stops in Kelsey and Heisler, a visit to a farm equipment display, and supper in Heisler. On return to Forestburg, explore the Elevator Museum or Many Horses Saloon for drinks. Ticket includes round trip train ride, snacks, and dinner.
