Filming in the Foothills: A Filmmaking Mentorship

Description

A creative opportunity for aspiring storytellers unfolds in Okotoks with the Filming in the Foothills: A Filmmaking Mentorship hosted by the Okotoks Film Festival. Designed to support new and emerging filmmakers, this program invites participants of all experience levels to pitch original film ideas and develop them with mentorship and guidance. Selected creators may also receive a $500 grant to help bring their projects to life, making this both an educational and practical stepping stone into the world of filmmaking. In partnership with the High River Performing Arts Foundation, the program focuses on nurturing creativity, storytelling, and artistic growth within the Foothills region. Participants are encouraged to explore any genre or style while learning how to refine their vision, strengthen their pitch, and develop their voice as filmmakers. #filmmaking #filmfestival #okotoks #workshop #creativity #storytelling #arts #education #gozeeit #thingstodo #thingstodinokotoks
