Okotoks Pollinator Power

Description

It’s Pollinator Week in Okotoks, and this guided outdoor experience invites you to slow down and explore the hidden world of pollinators along the Sheep River. Led by the Town of Okotoks in collaboration with AWA, participants will learn why Okotoks is recognized as a Bee City and how local efforts protect bees, butterflies, and other essential species that keep ecosystems thriving. Conservation Specialist Kennedy Halvorson and Okotoks Conservation Educator Avery Kaszas will share insights on the insects that buzz, flutter, and crawl through the town’s natural spaces. Expect an engaging walk filled with discovery, education, and a fresh appreciation for nature right in your community. A meaningful outdoor learning moment for all ages. #gozeeit #thingstodo #thingstodoinokotoks #pollinators #beecity #sheepriver #naturewalk #environment #okotoks
