Join Family Nature Nights: Brilliant Birds in Red Deer for a free, family-friendly evening of outdoor discovery and nature learning at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Designed for children aged 4–12 but open to all ages, this event invites families to explore the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary through guided nature walks led by local naturalists and educators. Participants will learn about the diverse bird species of central Alberta while engaging in hands-on activities that connect them with the natural environment. Hosted in collaboration with Nature Alberta, the Red Deer River Naturalists, and Ellis Nature Centre staff, this evening experience blends education, exploration, and outdoor fun.
