Costumed interpreters introduce each course, sharing fascinating stories about historic cooking methods, seasonal ingredients, and the challenges of preparing elegant meals in the 1600s. The August Royal Court menu includes Queen's Pottage, a traditional Salmagundi, slow-braised beef ribs cooked in red wine and Longhouse lager, and a classic crème brûlée.
