Calgary Stampede Parade Day transforms downtown Calgary into a 4.5 km celebration of western heritage and global culture on July 3, 2026. Starting with the Parade Prelude at 7:45 a.m., featuring over 1,500 performers, the main parade begins at 9 a.m. at 9th Avenue and 1st Street SE, running for approximately two hours. More than 150 entries showcase Calgary’s identity, including 30 marching bands, 40 floats, 750 horses, and 4,000 participants from around the world. The route travels west on 9th Avenue, north on 10th Street SW, east on 6th Avenue, and ends at 4th Street SE. The event is free to view along sidewalks on a first-come basis, with paid bleacher seating available. Attendees can enjoy “Parade-to-Park” access for free Stampede Park admission from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., continuing the celebration.
